New Online Banking Instructions
First Time Login Instructions to Online Banking:
1. Type your username, it is your account number.
2. Click Login
3. Type your password (it is the last four digits of the primary account holders SSN)
4. Click Continue
5. Accept the Terms & Conditions of Use (scroll to the bottom of the page to accept)
6. Type the default password (from step 3) in the field designated as your current password
7. Create a new, secure password* and type it into each new password field
8. Click Change My Password
9. Create a new personal username (between one and twenty characters) and type it in the new username field.
10. Click Change My Username
11. Type in the answers to three unique security questions (these are not case-sensitive)
12. Click Save My Questions
13. Explore the new virtual banking experience!
*New passwords must meet strong password requirements: 3 out of the 4 following characteristics – lowercase letter, capital letter, symbol, or number.
Already Set Up Your On Account?
After your first time accessing online banking, you will need to enter your new, custom, personal username, not the default username that was used on your first login. You will also need to answer one of your security questions each time you log in as an extra layer of security. If you wish, you can also select the “Hide my Typing” checkbox underneath the password field for added security.
New Online Banking Features
New features include a more secure login, MoneyDesktop and updates to both Remote Deposit Capture and Mobile Banking. The first time you login to the new system, you’ll find that the look has changed along
with your login information.
RDC (Remote Deposit Capture)
Please delete the old RDC app, it has been integrated into the new Academic FCU mobile app. Go to the section called Move Money, two choices open up one is transfer money and the other is Deposit Check with an image of a camera. You have to register to use this feature, which can take up to 24 hours, once you accept the terms & conditions. Then you are good to go!!
P2P (Person to Person transfers)
Online Banking offers free P2P. Go to the section called Pay & Transfer, then click on Pay Anyone. Touch that and then touch Pay Someone. Select a Recipient or choose New Recipient and Select a Send Method you can send it to them via email or to their phone as a text message. Fill in the amount and a message if you’d like. Enter a question and answer. This information will be sent to the recipient to verify the transaction. REMEMBER TO TELL YOUR RECIPIENT WHAT THE QUESTION AND ANSWER ARE. If they get it wrong 3 times the transaction will be cancelled.
A2A (Account to Account Transfers)
This new feature will let you set up transfers between your other financial institutions and the credit union. You can send money to the credit union or withdraw from it. It makes it easy to pay your loans or credit cards from your accounts at other institutions. You have to set up this feature with the credit union but once you are registered, it will be on option under the Transfer Money option in the new app.
The credit union can now issue Money Orders! There is a small, $2 fee and the Money Order limit is $1,000.00 each.
Have Linked Accounts?
Follow the steps to login to your account. However, you will need to call the credit union to link your accounts again once you’ve logged into each account.
