The purpose of the Academic Federal Credit Union is to promote thrift among its members, provide reliable, cost competitive and efficient loan services and maintain a profitable, responsible financial structure, management and operating organization.

Who can join Academic FCU?


Membership is available to all those with a common bond to our field of membership. All full-time and permanent part-time (20 hours per week or more) employees of our affiliated educational institutions, their blood relatives and/or household members.

Blood relatives are defined as spouse, child, siblings, parents, grandparents and grandchildren.

Household members are defined as any person living in the same dwelling maintaining a single economic unit.

ONCE A MEMBER, ALWAYS A MEMBER is our policy. Therefore regardless of where you work or live you can always remain an active member of our credit union.

 

 

How do I join?

Join Now - Click Here for Applications Joining Academic FCU. You can mail in your application along with a $25 initial deposit and a photocopy of a photo ID. No account will be opened without all the items present.

 

 
What if I transfer or leave the company?

All you need to do to maintain your membership is to be a member in good standing and maintain our minimum standard requirement of $20.00 in your primary share account.
